The Ministry of Silence recently issued a procedure for licensing the activities of farms for the production of digital currency with renewable energy. According to the charter, farms wishing to obtain a license and resume operations can receive their electricity only through renewable power plants.
According to Arzdigital and quoting Bargh News, the executive procedure for issuing licenses for extraction of cryptocurrencies with electricity supply from RES has been officially announced. This policy emphasizes that those who want to have Ramzarz production farms can only supply their electricity through renewable power plants, and for this they must have a contract with SATBA for guaranteed purchase of electricity.
The Ministry of Silence has not decided to license Ramzarz’s production farms by supplying electricity through non-renewable power plants, such as distributed power plants, and it appears that due to problems with gas supply to these units, the government continues to allow Ramzarz to produce. through gas-fired power plants.
However, the economic rationale for extracting cryptocurrencies with small gas-fired power plants at current gas prices is better than that of renewable power plants and this possibility can be used for the significant development of distributed generation power plants.
The new communiqué of the Ministry of Silence states that from March 6 this year, the ban on digging for digital currencies will be lifted and licenses will be issued to farms that want to supply their electricity through renewable energy sources. The communiqué emphasizes that previous renewable power plants can also be contracted for the extraction of Ramzarz.
The Guaranteed Purchase Agreement for Renewable Power Plants with the Renewable Energy and Productivity Organization of Iran (SATBA) will be used as a support agreement for these farms. Produce, pay or receive.
It is likely that the minimum licensing capacity for 100-kilowatt cryptocurrency fields in foreign currency will be removed and everyone will be able to dig their own electricity through renewable power plants, even with a miner.
The current electricity capacity required by cryptocurrency farms is at least 1500 MW, which with this announcement and assuming that all renewable power plants in Iran want all to be used for digging, can be provided less than 2% of the electricity capacity required by the farms Therefore, other methods of power supply to Ramzars production farms must be envisaged and legalized, otherwise they will continue to be underground.
